Long Summer
Summer is almost over, or at least we hope. The temps have soared and most everything is dried up and wasting away. The last couple of days have brought rain and a relief from the 100+ days. I have only completed a few bags this summer, and now I am gearing up for the OSU Cowboy football season. I had to finish a bag for our newest family member, Sam, coming in Sept. and have since, been sewing tailgating and gift items for the football season. My grandson Ben's birthday is in Sept. and we are going to be sewing super hero capes for the party goers. Seems there is always something to be working on. Well, on to autumn and the holidays!

Well, I have somewhat conquered the new embroidery machine, but there is still so much to learn. It has come in handy for those little monogram jobs for family and friends. My Grandson appreciates the fun things I have made for him. My last bag I used the machine to embroider the baby's name on some things and even made the L for the outside of the bag. Just another personal touch. My husband thinks I get to carried away, but it makes me happy to add whatever personality I can to each bag. I had a wonderful Mother's Day and I am so blessed to have such a great bunch of kids to share my life. Time to get busy and construct a few more bags!

New Bags
It' been awhile since I last posted. I bought a new fancy machine and have been learning the ins and outs of its mechanics. I have been able to produce a few new bags to share with you. I find making bags is not as fun unless you know someone is waiting in the wings to receive their gift. Football season has also taken some of my time, producing items to be used for tailgating decorating, and then there is my grandson, Ben, who always comes first. He had his big #2 birthday and I made him robot pillows for his new big boy room. He thinks they are pretty fascinating! Better get back to work on the next bag!
